Centrifugally Cast Sensor Housings

Attractive, chemically resistent, pre-tooled, rigid plastic housings for scientific and electronic applications.
What Resdel can do for you...
Many laboratory, industrial, and analytical sensors require a rigid, chemically resistant polymer body for an exterior housing. Typically these housings are either injection molded, fabricated or cast, processes which can be costly to implement or result in high unit cost.
Resdel centrifugally cast epoxy tubing provides another option resulting in the following benefits:
- We offer Ready-To-Use off the shelf product. Unlimited sizes and opaque/translucent colors.
- Consistently precise diameters without draft or taper. No unsightly mold marks.
- Epoxy formulations available for EMI protection, thermal shock resistance, high thermal conductivity, stiffness, and high dielectric strength.
- In house fabrication capabilities include turning, milling, drilling, assembly, and other secondary operations.
What Resdel has done for its customers...
The versatility and benefits of Resdel sensor housings can be found in many applications:
-
In Vivo Metric, a leading producer of high quality silver-silver chloride reusable electrodes for acquisition of all surface biopotentials, is just one of the many companies that use Resdel’s housings to encapsulate its products. In Vivo Metric prefers Resdel’s epoxy housings for their durability and compatibility with encapsulants.
-
Phoenix Electrode Co. utilizes Resdel tubular housings because of their excellent chemical resistance, translucent color matching, and durability.

-
Myron L. Company, a manufacturer of automatic Monitor/Control systems for chemical plating rinse water, uses Resdel tubular housings because of their low water absorption and adherance to encapsulating compounds resulting in a water tight seal for the electronic sensor.

Resdel’s carbon and graphite powder filled epoxy housings eliminate false readings from Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) on Orion Research Inc’s Ion Specific series electrode assemblies.

A conductive metallic linear cast between two layers of insulating epoxy provides EMI protection for a toxic gas sensor in applications such as mining.WTW, a worldwide leader in the production of precision lead capable measuring devides and cells uses Resdel’s epoxy tubular housing because of their high chemical resistance properties.

Lot to lot dimensional consistency, machinability, and virtually unlimited sizes are some of the reasons why Sensorex Corp. utilizes Resdel’s epoxy housings in their pH electrode series.
